Nickolas H. Guertin is the Director for Transformation in the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation. He leads the transformation of business, technical, and cultural practices for acquisition of national security systems as a coordinated Naval enterprise effort. He also extends and builds on that knowledge with the other services through the Better Buying Power initiative. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)–certified in Program Management and in Engineering. He received a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Bryant University.
